Vitalii joined Horizon Capital in October 2021, as part of the growing Portfolio Advisory team. Being an experienced lawyer, he contributes his expertise both internally – advising the other members of the investment team on various legal matters – as well as externally, focusing on hands-on engagements embedded within portfolio companies alongside management, to accelerate key strategic transformational projects.

Prior to joining Horizon Capital, Vitalii worked at EY as a corporate and M&A lawyer for 10 years. In addition to his experience in Ukraine, he also worked in the Manchester office of EY during his secondment to the UK and was involved in several transactions with EY Kazakhstan. At EY, his core practice areas were domestic and cross-border private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and shareholders’ agreements, pre- and post-transaction reorganizations, legal due diligence, and general corporate advice, with a particular focus on private equity. During his time with EY, Vitalii worked on more than 10 transactions led by Horizon Capital as the firm’s external counsel.

Vitalii holds a Master’s degree in Law from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. He entered the university at the age of 15 and was the youngest student among peers.

Vitalii is passionate about videography and photography. He has a personal vlog on YouTube and occasionally does photo shoots for his family and friends as a hobby.
